What about support

Don't put a label on me

Made By Young People

Young people are often looked down upon by the people who are there to help them. Here they outline how they would like to be talked to from people who are aware of their issues.

The way I am treated

The way I am treated

  • I will be treated with respect and I will be listened to
  • I will not be labelled or judged because I am young
  • I do not have to take the first tenancy I am offered and my housing provider will not pressure me into doing so
  • I will be able to deal with a housingofficer who has knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing young homeless people

+1 After searching the internet all eveing looking for legislation etc on housing options and support for young people i came across this site and was overwhelmes by the involvement that young peoploe had put into this site. You manage to put everything i needed to know into a 'nut shell' which anyone could understand. I think it is amazing that you young people are taking charge of your housing needs and issues and speaking up. Great Website and well done to you all (Youth worker North East)
